Senior Mechanical Designer Engineer

We are now looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer who can strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans within the Wave Energy market.

Role Summary: 

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for high quality engineering and design output through project execution development and improvement activities. She/he shall work with development and delivery of Wave Power Park (WPP) and will be responsible for design and project engineering activities within scope in start-up through completion of projects. 

Location: 

Seabased Norway AS Based in Brevik, Norway

Responsibilities and Tasks:

·      Contribute to development of Wave Power Park and all included parts.

·      Perform engineering tasks and producing assigned designs in line with standards, procedures and guidelines.

·      Performing FEM analysis or other calculations, when required.

·      3D modelling of structures and assemblies.

·      Prepare and complete fabrication drawings and models.

·      Participation in supplier meetings when required.

·      Prepare and complete product test procedures and user documentation.

·      Participation with project team. 

·      Work with project team and suppliers to align interfaces.

·      Active participation in engineering department by contribution to improvements in working methods, design reviews etc.

·      Responsible for that HSEQ-aspects in own work through design solutions and quality verification processes in product development and fabrication processes. 

Qualifications and Personal Qualities

·      Bachelor or Master in Subsea Technology or similar. Work experience may compensate for lack of formal competence.

·      Minimum 5+ years CAD Solidworks experience.

·      Knowledge in geometric and dimensional tolerance stack-up.

·      Proficient in English, oral and written.

·      Team player, structured and flexible.
